Kaval & Bobby’s Wedding Day {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

I was lucky enough to 2nd shoot Kaval and Bobby’s wedding with Nicole from Heart & Soul Photography in June. Storms were expected but the day turned out to be beautiful with not a cloud in the sky!  The service was held at Avalon Garden’s at Mt Tambourine <http://www.avalonweddinggardens.com.au/>  which is just a photographers dream.  I have to say it is the most beautiful location I have shot in for a wedding with their service being held in the “temple”.  It had it all - fountains, chandeliers and beautiful gardens!   But most of all it had a beautiful bride and groom!??Following are some of my favourite images from the day.

Local Wedding Guide Brisbane Wedding Photographer of the Year Competition

I know I know….. I am a very bad blogger but I have been so flat out lately and blogging has unfortunately gone to the bottom of the pile.  And I feel terrible especially when I receive such beautiful emails from clients like this ” I love looking at your pics. I visit daily just to smile….laugh….cry…sigh” now there is no better compliment than that.

I am advertising in the Local Wedding Guide this year and had the opportunity to submit an image which brides get to vote on to decide the Brisbane Wedding Photographer of the year and win themselves a $500 engagement shoot with the winner.   Obviously I cannot say which is my image but there are fantastic photos from some great photographers - I am just honored to have one of my images sitting next to theirs! So any potential brides out there get voting to win your E-shoot.

I am also starting to get really excited because wedding session is fast approaching and I have lots of weddings booked with beautiful brides (and fantastic grooms of course). I am also looking at my packages and I am going to be making some changes to the way I approach weddings and packaging. I really want all my couples to have an album as there is nothing more special than looking back on your wedding album and it really does become a family heirloom.  Anyway keep an eye out of these exciting changes as I will be working with a very established album company in Brisbane who produce beautiful albums for all price ranges.

And because I don’t like to post without a photo, here is an image from a wedding that I assisted Peter from Turning Heads Photography with.  There are lots more to come and will try and put these up over the next week or so.

Don’t forget get voting girls.

Shelton Muller Workshop {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

This is a very very overdue post - last month I attended a workshop with the amazing Shelton Muller in Melbourne and what a great experience it was.  I travelled down there with my good friend Nicole from Heart & Soul.  I will just let these images speak for themselves!

Andrew & Kristy Wedding Day {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Back in April I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting for my friend and Brisbane photographer Sheila Higgens http://sheilahigginsphotography.com.au/blog/ at Andrew & Kristy’s wedding.  It was one of the most lovely weddings I have been to and I could really feel the love between them.  We had lots of fun with the bridal party who were just so relaxed which made for some beautiful images to capture this special day!

Thanks Sheila for allowing me to tag along!

Until next time.

Best Friends - Engagement Session {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Every now and then you meet a fabulous couple that you just click with straight away - and these guys were them! I am doing the wedding of Alicia and Steve next year and while they were down on a holiday from Cairns (they live in Cairns - family here) we decided to meet up and do their engagement shoot. I am so glad we did as we had the best shoot and got some fantastic images. A lot of the time couples do their shoots in gardens / beach etc but as they are having their reception at Eves on the River we played around the old Woolshed buildings and what fun I have had processing these images - the texture in bricks is so much nicer than green leaves (woops did I say that lol)……

{Guys I hope you love these and really look forward to seeing you again Alicia in November for Scott and Ashleigh’s wedding - we are going to have a ball!}

Till next time
