Brisbane Photographers Meet Up {Brisbane Child Photographer}IaA

Believe it or not I do have lots to blog it is just a matter of finding the time to fit everything in - funny how I still don’t have a part-time job yet I am as busy as ever.  No sleep ins here.  I have some very very exciting news coming up in the next few weeks so stay tuned - I think life is about to get VERY busy.

I am so lucky that next week I am going to be down on the Gold Coast for the Inspire Me Workshop which we will have 3 days of mentoring by the following amazing photographers from the US.  I hope to walk away from this workshop (ps last workshop for a very very long time) with so much knowledge my head is going to explode - esp knowledge on lighting subjects correctly and using off camera flash effectively - look out future brides lol.

http://portrait.nicholev.com/?splash Nichole Van - her work just blows me away and is totally amazing.

http://www.joeyl.com/ Joey Lawrence - just go look - he is SUPER AMAZING too

http://www.zackarias.com/#/client/template.xml?aaa=home&bbb= Zack Arias - totally cool

In the meantime here are some images from a recent meet up with some other Brisbane photographers. I have to say I love these photos - probably some of my best to date (if I do say so lol).

Down by The Water {Brisbane Family Photographer}

I recently had a really great session with a family that would have to be the most lovely people to be with. We spent a few hours at Shorncliffe Pier however didn’t even go near the Pier - it looked great from a far. The kids were just full of life and thank goodness Kellie didn’t want anything too posed as I don’t think they would have sat still for more than one minute - but that isn’t my style of photography anyway so I just chased after them and captured them being kids……

{It was such a pleasure to meet you all and I hope you love your photos - look forward to seeing you all again soon}

Little Miss P {Brisbane Newborn Photographer}

I am very very behind on my blogging. I unfortunately was made redundant from my part time role and it has kind of rocked my world! We do depend on my wage to pay our mortgage and to be without a job is very strange - I have not been unemployed for 14 years - anyone need a PA that can take half decent photos (lol)????

Anyway onto the important things - last Monday I had the pleasure of photographing little Miss P - she was all of 3 weeks old. She was actually born 2 weeks early and was the tiniest little bub! I have to say she was one of the sleepiest newborns I have had and we had such fun capturing these images. You may tell but I am becoming a B&W fan - nothing more beautiful than B&W’s for newborns - just brings such an intimate feeling to them.

{Guys - I hope you love these and I have captured Little Miss P as perfect as she is - look forward to seeing you soon x}

The Cutest Man In Town {Brisbane Child Photography}

Well this has to have been the shoot of the year so far - and how could it not be - it is my adorable nephew (and another nephew that thought he was a frog lol). We have been planning on doing this shoot for a while as my sister wants to enter him into a competition - I do hope he wins (no biased there of course).    We made a lunch of it and had a lovely little picnic - both girls brought yummy food and I brought a bottle of Coke - you can see cooking is a priority for me. So I thought I would share some of the photos from our little shoot down at the Lake.  Have also put in a photo of a cute frog!

Just some other random bits and pieces - I moved into my new “office” at home on the weekend and I am feeling like a new person.  It is great having my own space and feeling super organised.

I am going to Newcastle for a wedding in January and I am so so excited. I am actually going to do a wedding also in March for another wedding and both are going to be spectacular!

I am working on a Promo DVD for weddings which is really exhausting me as I am not overly creative when it comes to that side of things.

I am on standby for Cass’ delivery of Noah (yes batteries charged).

Next week I have a newborn shoot which I can’t wait to share with you and I will be attending my sisters first Tupperware Party - good luck sis.

Ok that is it for now.
