Brisbane Photographers Meet Up {Brisbane Child Photographer}IaA

Believe it or not I do have lots to blog it is just a matter of finding the time to fit everything in - funny how I still don’t have a part-time job yet I am as busy as ever.  No sleep ins here.  I have some very very exciting news coming up in the next few weeks so stay tuned - I think life is about to get VERY busy.

I am so lucky that next week I am going to be down on the Gold Coast for the Inspire Me Workshop which we will have 3 days of mentoring by the following amazing photographers from the US.  I hope to walk away from this workshop (ps last workshop for a very very long time) with so much knowledge my head is going to explode - esp knowledge on lighting subjects correctly and using off camera flash effectively - look out future brides lol.

http://portrait.nicholev.com/?splash Nichole Van - her work just blows me away and is totally amazing.

http://www.joeyl.com/ Joey Lawrence - just go look - he is SUPER AMAZING too

http://www.zackarias.com/#/client/template.xml?aaa=home&bbb= Zack Arias - totally cool

In the meantime here are some images from a recent meet up with some other Brisbane photographers. I have to say I love these photos - probably some of my best to date (if I do say so lol).

For Mum {Brisbane Family Photographer}

I would go and visit these guys every weekend If I could!  You would remember Marcella and Brad - my maternity, birth, newborn and now family couple!  This was a special session though as all the “kids” got together to do a photoshoot for Marcella’s mum / Mother In Law (and also Mum to Damien,  Justin and Kristian).

The rain held off and we got to spend a lovely few hours in the backyard just hanging out and getting some photos which I am sure “Mum” will love!  The goal was also to get a photo of the new grandkids together - now that was a task in itself - I think I might have taken 50 photos just of them together - they say never work with children - but oh how boring life would be!

{Guys I hope you like these and I have captured your family just as you guys are - perfect}

Young Love {Brisbane Family Photographer}

Ok so I promised you Part II of this photoshoot and here it is!  We were lucky enough to get some time after we finished our “formal” shoot to go outside before Bianca & Michael had to go to dinner to celebrate their newly announced engagement (Congrats again guys) and to say their goodbyes to her brother who was leaving for the Airforce the next day!

I don’t really have too much to say as I think these photos just say it all. There is just so much passion and love between these two that no words will really do it justice.  I could just tell the way that Michael looked at Bianca that he just loves her so much and how honored am I to get the chance to capture that.

Because we only had around 10 minutes to get these shots we are going to do a take 2 and do an urban engagement shoot which should be heaps of fun.  This was just one of those sessions that every photo you look at your love - so I have a lot to share with you but I am sure you won’t mind  : )

{Bianca and Michael thank you for giving me the time after our “formal” shoot to get these images of you. You are an amazing couple and I hope that I am the lucky one chosen to capture your special day for you because it would be an absolute honor.  Will have your DVD slideshow to you by Tuesday}

Family Ties {Brisbane Family Photographer}

Late last year I had a phone call from a lovely lady wishing to purchase a gift voucher for her “to-be” daughter-in-law for her 21st birthday present. Her brother was also leaving to move to Melbourne with the Air Force so this was a nice opportunity for her to get some photos with him before he left!

We had our shoot planned to be done down at the local park but the heavans had other plans as it decided to rain 2 hours before our shoot.  So what to do? Brother is leaving the day after to go to Melbourne so no choice but to whip out the studio lights and backdrop and get some family shots (yes my Mark II could have handled the low light but just didn’t want to risk it).

Here are some photos of this lovely family (arn’t they just gorgeous) and I have used the MCP Blogger Boards to display them!  Oh and come back tomorrow for the outdoor session - we got 10 mins with Bianca and Michael and I am so glad we did as I got some awesome photos of them!

Oh and lastly thanks to Nicole from Heart & Soul Photography for coming out to help me - she packed up all my lights and backdrops etc while I got the chance to duck outside to get some shots before they all left for dinner. Nic your a gem!

{Bianca & Michael I hope you love these and check back in tomorrow for your photos. I love them - they really show what an awesome couple you are.  Also can’t wait to do your official Urban engagement shoot}

School Dayze {Brisbane Lifestyle Photographer}

Yesterday was a crazy day at our house just as it probably was at a lot of homes around Australia - the joy of getting organised to get back to school.

Bella is a big grade 2′er this year and was so excited to get back to school that she was up at 6:30am dressed, breakfast done and ready to go.  Can’t say that I was so organised!

Thought I would share a few pics from our first day back.
