Introducing Little Miss G {Brisbane Newborn Photographer}

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting this lovely family a few weeks back and Little Miss G was such a lovely little bubba! She was very alert through a lot of our session but we finally got her to nod off and then we put her in a china bowl and surprise surprise she woke up - doh!  That will teach me for trying to be creative!  I do think it is nice though to capture some images with baby’s eyes open and we certainly got some beautiful images with Little Miss G’s eyes widely open.

{Lauren and Ian it was lovely to meet you and your precious little girl.  I hope she is bringing you lots of lovely moments to remember and keeping Mummy company while Daddy is away at work…….be in touch soonx)

Sydney Fun {Brisbane Family Photography}

Last Wednesday I visited Sydney for the yearly PMA and what a fantastic time I had. I stayed with Sydney Photography Lyndal http://www.lyndalphotography.com/. We have been friends for over a year via the internet so it was great to finally meet in person.

On Thursday myself and a few other photographers that had travelled to Sydney for PMA organised a TTD (trash the dress) with some models (my BIL’s girlfriend and her workmate and Ashley, Naomi and Paris - Ashley I have known since she was born - now that is scary).  The weather was great for the session and we had such a great time.  And how hot do these Pettiskirts look for adults!  The girls absolutely loved them and even squealed when I showed them the skirts for the first time.

On Friday we went to PMA (expo at Darling Harbour) and then did a lighting workshop put on by Savvy Studios.  That was fantastic and has really given me some great ideas for lighting at my upcoming weddings.

Here are just a few of the images taken at the TTD and also the lighting workshop.

{Thanks to the wonderful models and photographers for making this day so successful - I had such a great time and can’t wait to do it again}

Shelton Muller Workshop {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

This is a very very overdue post - last month I attended a workshop with the amazing Shelton Muller in Melbourne and what a great experience it was.  I travelled down there with my good friend Nicole from Heart & Soul.  I will just let these images speak for themselves!

Andrew & Kristy Wedding Day {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Back in April I had the pleasure of 2nd shooting for my friend and Brisbane photographer Sheila Higgens http://sheilahigginsphotography.com.au/blog/ at Andrew & Kristy’s wedding.  It was one of the most lovely weddings I have been to and I could really feel the love between them.  We had lots of fun with the bridal party who were just so relaxed which made for some beautiful images to capture this special day!

Thanks Sheila for allowing me to tag along!

Until next time.

Best Friends - Engagement Session {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Every now and then you meet a fabulous couple that you just click with straight away - and these guys were them! I am doing the wedding of Alicia and Steve next year and while they were down on a holiday from Cairns (they live in Cairns - family here) we decided to meet up and do their engagement shoot. I am so glad we did as we had the best shoot and got some fantastic images. A lot of the time couples do their shoots in gardens / beach etc but as they are having their reception at Eves on the River we played around the old Woolshed buildings and what fun I have had processing these images - the texture in bricks is so much nicer than green leaves (woops did I say that lol)……

{Guys I hope you love these and really look forward to seeing you again Alicia in November for Scott and Ashleigh’s wedding - we are going to have a ball!}
